Our new high specification Coating thickness Gauge is the ultimate tool for measuring the thickness of paint, the thickness of coatings and the thickness of powder coatings on all types of metal substrates in the field of coatings inspection equipment and supply a range of quality inspection equipment.
The gauge will measure coatings on ferrous (iron, steel) and non-ferrous substrates (aluminium). The gauge will sense the substrate under the coating and will switch automatically to the ferrous or non-ferrous measurement setting.
The gauge can be easily switched to measure and display readings in either in metric or imperial units of measurement.
The gauge has a “flip” function that allows the user to turn the gauge through 180 degrees so that it can be used upside down for ease of reading at different angles.

Ford viscosity cup is a simple gravity device that permits the timed flow of a known volume of liquid passing through an orifice located at the bottom.
Under ideal conditions, this rate of flow would be proportional to the kinematic viscosity (expressed in stokes and centistokes) that is dependent upon the specific gravity of the draining liquid.However, the conditions in a simple flow cup are seldom ideal for making true measurements of viscosity.
It is important when using a Ford Cup and when retesting liquids that the temperature of the cup and the liquid is maintained, as ambient temperature makes a significant difference to viscosity and thus flow rate.
These new Ford viscosity cups are extremely easy to use. Simply pour your sample into the cup and measure the time it takes for the liquid to flow through the orifice until the first break in the liquid stream. Use the included table to convert the elapsed time to centistokes (cSt).
The cups are made from solid Aluminium; the orifice is made from SS All the cups are calibrated to NIST-traceable oils.
