Job Summary
We at Bombay Tools deal in specialized safety hand tools (non-sparking & insulated) on pan-India basis. At our rapidly growing company we are looking for experienced sales people who can develop key accounts and manage them. Our Account Manager is expected to service our existing customers while developing new accounts within assigned industries across the country. Our Account Managers have to be star performers selling our innovative products and hitting their sales targets month after month.
Responsibilities and Duties
Account Manager will be assigned specific industries and companies within that industry. We expect them to:
(i) Research industries to create a list of prospective buyers. Reach out to these prospects via phone and email. Also participate in exhibitions to find new opportunities
(ii) Once a prospect is validated get appointments and visit them
(iii) Effectively pitch & present our products to the clients and get them interested
(iv) Understand their buying pattern and buying window. Once inquiry has been generated complete the sales cycle
(v) Periodically reach out to existing clients, meet with them and provide support as required
(vi) Build long term relationships
(vii) Manage your sales pipeline and provide weekly reports
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
This position requires:
(i) Ability to listen and also the ability to communicate great insights to the customer
(ii) To be insightful requires the candidate to constantly learn and acquire both knowledge of the industry/product as well as hone their skills.
(iii) You must be able to respectfully challenge the customer's assumptions and predisposed notions
Further we would prefer candidates who have prior experience in any of the following industries:
1. Oil & Gas - Reliance, Cairn India, HPCL, BPCL, IOCL, ONGC, GAIL
2. Government - Defence, Railways, State-owned industries
3. Steel, Cement, Chemicals, Automobiles, Pharmaceuticals
4. Power - Both MNCs, PSU & state-owned
This position requires extensive travel in the field - a road warrior
Also we expect our skilled salesman to build his sales pipeline and understand the principles that are key to achieving targets on a continuous basis
